The team was also kindly assisted by legal practitioners, judges’ associates and former Jessup mooters.

The National Family Law Moot Competition is organised by the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. The competition requires extensive preparation for the presentation of a mock case before the Family Court of Australia. The top two teams from the Preliminary rounds held throughout Australia proceed to compete in the Final. The moot question this year involved complex issues relating to financial agreements and alteration of property interests.

The 2011 victory is the second year running that the UWA Family Law Moot Team has been the National Champion following the same success of the 2010 Team.
