In the July school holidays UWA ran two ‘A day in the life of' events, with A Day in the Life of an Engineering Student and A Day in the Life of a Business School Student.

A Day in the Life of an Engineering Student kicked off with a huge participation response from year 10s and 11s in WA. 60 students had the opportunity to get involved in many engineering build an electric motor, experience the wind tunnel, learn about gyroscopes and see the Engineering Faculty's Motorsport Car.

With over 100 high school students attending A Day in the Life of a Business School Student this was a day not to be missed. Working on a case study supplied by the Hawaiian Group, a UWA Business School partner, students were divided into groups to come up with ideas to the problem. This year's case study was on the Claremont Quarter and the topic was corporate social responsibility. Students had the chance to win fantastic prizes, including gift vouchers from the Claremont Quarter.

Overall both days were a huge success, with participants learning a lot about what it is like being a uni student at UWA. Watch out for more A Day in the Life of a uni student events in 2012!
