Senator Jan McLucas, Parliamentary Secretary for Disabilities and Carers, will on September 1 deliver the Disability Collective Lecture 2011 at The University of Western Australia.

In her lecture, The Future of Disability Policy in Australia: Improving the Lives of People with Disability, their Families and Carers, Senator McLucas will discuss the National Disability Strategy and other major Federal Government reforms to bring about fundamental improvements to the lives of Australians with a disability, their families and carers.

The focus of these reforms has not only been on improving the performance of the disability service system but improving key service systems.
