Dr Martin Parkinson, Secretary to the Treasury, will address the economic future of Australia in the 2011 Shann Memorial Lecture at The University of Western Australia.

Dr Parkinson's presentation is themed: Sustainable Wellbeing - An Economic Future for Australia.

Dr Parkinson was appointed Secretary to the Treasury in March 2011.  He is Chair of the Standard Business Reporting Board and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Australian Office of Financial Management, and member of the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia, the Board of Taxation, the Board of Infrastructure Australia and the Council of Financial Regulators.

The Shann Memorial Lecture is an annual event supported by The University of Western Australia Business School and the Economic Society of Australia.
