Ausgold, a CET corporate member, has recently been nominated as a finalist for the 2011 Australian Mining Prospects Awards for Explorer of the Year.  The award is for the project in Katanning/Boddington South.

The CEO of Ausgold, Mr. Benjamin Bell, said that "the foresight the CET showed in identifying the southwest Yilgarn as a prospective gold region when everyone else was ignoring this region gave Ausgold a considerable advantage."

Mr. Bell acknowledged that being a corporate member, with the research expertise of the CET behind Ausgold "enabled me (Ausgold) to acquire an extensive tenement holding over a true emerging gold province."  He went on to thank the CET and mentioned that "irrespective of whether we (Ausgold) win this award, I (Mr. Bell) must thank you and the other CET (staff) members who completed the gold study for Ausgold back in 2007 for giving such a great package of gold projects."

The CET congratulates Ausgold for their nomination and we look forward to hearing the results after the presentation dinner which is held in Sydney on the 7 th September 2011.
