Chris Bates, a UWA Law/Business School graduate, established Interpeople with two partners in 2008 after seeing a gap in the market for high-level technical recruitment. In 2011, Mr Bates was recognised as one of Western Australia’s top 40 Under 40 business people at the annual WA Business News awards.

Interpeople now employs a team of industry professionals, and provides Technical Recruitment, Human Resource Consulting and Migration Services to a range of local, national and international professional services organisations.

Mr Bates is a former lawyer and qualified migration agent. He currently manages Interpeople’s Legal Recruitment and Migration Services teams, with plans to launch a number of other business ventures in the near future. More recently, Mr Bates and a team of Australian/Brazilian business associates established businesses operating out of South America and Asia, and were involved with the successful acquisition and vend of a Brazilian Iron Ore Project.

Interpeople donates 10% of all profits to charity, provides an office for the Love Angel Foundation/Global Good Foundation, and hosts an annual industry Charity Ball for Make-A-Wish Australia.  Mr Bates recently returned from Chiang Mai, Thailand where he spent his annual leave teaching English to disadvantaged Thai children and Burmese refugees.
