The Australian Geomechanics Society has awarded Dr Muhammad Shazzad Hossain with a Trollope Medal for 2010 for his papers: 'Deep-penetrating spudcan foundations on layered clays: centrifuge tests' and 'Deep-penetrating spudcan foundations on layered clays: numerical analysis' published in Geotechnique December 2009.
The Trollope Medal is awarded to a member of the Society who is an author of an outstanding paper on either theoretical or applied Geomechanics, on a biannual basis, based on recent or current doctoral research.
