The April School Holidays have been busy here at UWA with the university hosting ‘A day in the life of a music student', ‘A day in the life of an astronomy student', and ‘A day in the life of an environmental science student'.  The events were a great opportunity for school students to discover what a typical day at university is like.

In ‘A day in the life of a music student', students participated in an improvisation workshop, observed vocal studies students, and even practiced conducting! In ‘A day in the life of an astronomy student', students had the chance to use solar and radio telescopes, as well as using computers to understand radio astronomy data. ‘A day in the life of an environmental science student' had students learning about conservation biology, coastal management and even how marine animals use their senses - including senses that humans do not have!

UWA will be running two more ‘A day in the life of a uni student' events in the July school holidays: ‘A day in the life of an engineering student', happening on the 19 th of July, and ‘A day in the life of a business student', happening on the 21 st of July.
