A key group of 35 leading palaeoclimate scientists from across Australia and around the world will be in Perth 27-29 April for the Aus2K regional workshop.

The meeting is an opportunity for scientists to present the latest palaeoclimate reconstruction data for our region; information that will feed into the fifth report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, due in 2014.

The event will be hosted at the University of Western Australia’s School of Plant Biology . Further information can be found at the Past Global Changes (PAGES) website .

The workshop was co-organised by Dr Pauline Grierson , Director of the WA Biogeochemistry Centre, and Dr Joelle Gergis (University of Melbourne), along with PAGES. The meeting has also been generously supported by Rio Tinto.
