Sustainable Development is offering O-Day visitors the chance to win a fantastic prize of $500 to spend on a bike or bicycle equipment at Glen Parker Cycles Nedlands.

The lucky winner can reduce carbon emissions, traffic congestion and their expenses by using their prize to cycle to and from the campus and beyond.

To enter the draw visit the Sustainable Development stall at O-Day and tell us, on our giant ‘pledge board’, how you plan to reduce your environmental impact in 2011.

But that’s not the only give-away the stall will offer. Free milkshakes are available to those willing to pedal our power-generating bicycles to make them! We provide the milk, flavouring and blender – you provide the electricity. The harder you pedal, the frothier your reward!

Throughout the day members from the Sustainable Development team will be on hand to chat about upcoming projects and steps you can take to make UWA an environmentally and socially responsible organisation.

The Sustainable Development stall will be accessible at the O-Day Festival, Friday 25 February, from 11am until 3pm on James Oval. We hope to see you there.
