Fifteen Mechanical and Chemical Engineering School staff were nominated for teaching awards in 2010. They include:

  • W/Prof James Trevelyan
  • Dr Nathan Scott
  • Assoc/Prof Dianne Hesterman
  • Prof Hui Tong Chua
  • Asst/Prof Brendan Graham
  • W/Prof Eric May
  • Asst/Prof Jo Voola
  • Dr Roshun Paurobally
  • Assoc/Prof Hong Yang
  • Assoc/Prof Jeremy Leggoe
  • Assoc/Prof Xiaolin Wang
  • Mr Bashirul Haq
  • Mr Chris Rowles
  • Dr Fabrizio Pistani
  • Mr Peter Whittaker

This is a wonderful achievement for the School of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. We had significantly more nominations than any of the other schools.

All nominees have been invited to proceed to the next step: they have to write about their teaching and the best submissions will be honoured around March when the faculty teaching awards are announced.

Head of School, Professor Yinong Liu commented ... “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of my colleagues. It is immensely gratifying to know that our students value and appreciate the high standard of teaching at our school. Congratulations and well done.”
