COFS congratulates Bassem Youssef who was recently awarded a SUT scholarship .
Bassem completed his Bachelor of Science (Engineering) at Suez Canal University, Egypt in 2000 and finished his Masters of Civil Engineering in 2006. Bassem joined COFS in August 2008 to commence his PhD.
The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), through its Educational Support Fund, offers annual scholarship awards to either undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking studies that embrace relevant component areas of marine science, underwater technology or offshore engineering.
The Society's Educational Support Fund will award sponsorship of $5000 per annum for a full academic year.
In addition to the financial sponsorship, SUT will provide student membership of the Society and attendance in relevant SUT professional development courses, for successful candidates.
