UWAP author and Assistant Professor at UWA,Mark Pegrum is the recent recipient of an Australian Learning and Teaching Council teaching award for 2010.
Professor Pegrum from the Graduate School of Education published his book, From Blogs to Bombs: The Future of Digital Technologies in Education with UWA Publishing in 2009.

From Blogs to Bombs intersects current theories on educative technology and in doing so, provides a much needed "bigger picture view" that delves into the technological, pedagogical, social, sociopolitical, and ecological implications.

This detailed and balanced analysis of the future of education in Australia, and indeed the world over, comes at just the right time as the nation prepares to embrace a planned Labor Government Digital Education Revolution aimed at improving technological education and internet access in all Australian education institutions.

The ALTC awards will be formally presented by the federal Minister for Education Senator Chris Evans at the 2010 Awards ceremony to be held at Parliament House in Canberra on November 16. The Prime Minister's Award will be presented by Prime Minister Julia Gillard following that ceremony.
