Graduate of The University of Western Australia and founder of cosmetics company Mecca Cosmetica, Ms Jo Horgan, will be guest speaker at the eighth UWA Centenary Trust for Women's annual lunch.

Ms Horgan will share her insights into campus life and the world of work at the lunch, where the five 2010 CTW scholarship recipients will be announced.

After studying English Literature and Latin at UWA, Ms Horgan completed a Master of Science in Mass Communication in Boston before working in marketing with L'Oréal in London.

The CTW trust was formed in 2002 to help women who need financial and other support to study at UWA.

More than 430 guests will attend the lunch on Sunday 25 July, hosted by UWA Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Robson.

Among them will be the Governor of Western Australia, Dr Ken Michael, and Mrs Julie Michael and CTW Patron and Chair Dr Erica Smyth.

The event will also be a fund-raiser to help the trust meet its aims of providing advice, financial assistance and other support to women whose educational opportunities are limited because of financial difficulties, distance, cultural differences, disability or responsibility for the care of others.
