The Australasian College of Emergency Medicine has released latest research lead by University of Western Australia Emergency Medicine specialists that identifies young heroin users and women, more than men, as high users of acute hospital care services.

The ten year study into the general health problems of more than 200 heroin users is published in the latest issue of Emergency Medicine Australasia .
