Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Winthrop Professor Bill Louden, says the proposed major EOI submissions have now been considered by the respective Interim Boards of Studies.

As a result, 66 majors have been accepted by these Boards.

A list of these majors , which will form part of the new courses in 2012, is available on the web.

Proposers of accepted EOI for majors (Phase 1) have been invited to prepare fuller details for final submission and some staff have also been working on other proposals (such as electives and honours) for Phase 2 of the course development process.

These proposals will be considered by the Interim Boards of Studies between June and July 2010 and will be subsequently forwarded to the Board of Coursework Studies and Academic Council for endorsement and approval respectively.

Professor Louden thanked all those who participated in Phase 1 of the course development process.
