Dr Myrtille Laas-Bourez recently took up her position with the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research and the School of Physics as the chief scientist in charge of the Zadko robotic control system, CCD camera and technical operations of the Zadko Telescope.

Dr Laas-Bourez will be working closely with David Coward , Lister Staley-Smith and Zadko's French collaborators to prepare the facility for a host of exciting science programs that start this year.

Final testing of the CCD camera is underway, following its return from Andor, the manufacturer.

After final testing is complete, we will update/prepare the protocols and procedures for our PhD students and Gingin Observatory staff, who will be operating the system in robotic mode with the Andor camera.
