Following the close of feedback from the Faculty, three of the One Faculty, One Future working parties are in the process of finalising their recommendations to the Dean. These recommendations are aimed at moving the Faculty forward. Read on for a full update on One Faculty, One Future....

Update

  • The Disciplines, Research Themes and Formal Governance working parties are currently reviewing the feedback provided by the Faculty on their respective proposals, with a view to providing final recommendations to the Dean in the next one to two weeks. Thanks to all staff in the Faculty who provided feedback on these important proposals.
  • The Budgetary Principles Advisory Panel is also continuing to work on its recommendations to the Dean, and it is anticipated that the final principles will be distributed to the Faculty alongside the other proposals to provide a full picture to the Faculty.
  • The operation of the Culture, Teamwork and Collegiality Working Party is currently being reviewed to ensure the Faculty provides the best mechanisms to achieve the goal of a high performance culture underpinned by teamwork and collegiality. The members of the working party have made an important and valued contribution to this process already, and are thanked for their efforts thus far.
  • The new professional staff structure is also well underway, with most positions filled and full attention being turned to improving the delivery of high levels of service across the Faculty by all teams. Colleagues are reminded that information on contacts in the new structure is available on the contact directory , as well as in more detail at the One Faculty, One Future website.
