Do you have a passion for fast cars, engineering, building things or being number one? Or do you simply want to learn more about one of the fantastic projects you can get involved in as a UWA student? If you answered yes (and even if you didn't!) then head on down to the UWA Science Library, located at the UWA Crawley campus, before 14 April to visit the UWA Motorsport Exhibition.

UWA Motorsport is an industry supported, hands-on project run by a team of dedicated students who work to design and build a new race car each year. Since its launch in 2001, UWA Motorsport has competed in many competitions both nationally and internationally and received numerous awards and accolades. One of the biggest achievements for the team came in 2008 when they were crowned the world champions after winning the international Formula SAE competition.

The exhibition will feature the cars from the last nine years, the team's trophies, diaries of past competitions written by the student project managers, photos and media clippings from throughout the years, and much more.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and find out everything there is to know about UWA Motorsport and how you can be a part of the team. There will also be the chance to win an iPod Nano in our trivia competition.

UWA's new Science Library, which has become the subject of a popular youtube song , is open the following times:

Monday to Thursday:  8am - 10pm
Friday:  8am - 6pm
Saturday and Sunday:  10am - 6pm

If you have any questions about the exhibition please contact Magda Matuszczyk on 6488 4277.
