The University of Western Australia's Superturf will host two hockey internationals during the next month featuring the women's national team the Hockeyroos and an Australian Institute of Sport team.

Three international teams will visit Perth in February and early March to play the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras as well as practice matches in the lead up to the World Cup.

On Tuesday, March 2, the Hockeyroos meet Korea in a Test match at UWA while on Tuesday, March 9, a women's team featuring rising stars from the AIS will also play Korea in a friendly match.

The Hockeyroos are one of Australia's most successful sporting teams.  Their three gold medals from the past four Olympic Games, two World Cups, six Champions Trophies and two Commonwealth Games golds highlight the team's outstanding run of success.

UWA engineering student Fergus Kavanagh and UWA graduate Ross Meadows are also expected to play in the men's national team the Kookaburras when they meet New Zealand for two Test matches, to be played at Perth Hockey Stadium tomorrow night, Wednesday, February 17 and Friday, February 19.
