The UK committee of UWA’s Science Futures Foundation (SFF) hosted an outstanding dinner in London to showcase the ongoing achievements of the Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences.

The event attracted prestigious alumni, distinguished academics and industry representatives, and featured guest speaker Professor Dame Kay Davies .

The gathering was followed by a luncheon in New York, where alumni from the length and breadth of America were able to join the event via teleconference. They were able to hear the Dean, Professor George Stewart , outline the Faculty’s 2009 achievements, its future direction and the role the SFF will play in achieving its goals.

Back home, and on-campus events included Professor Peter Eastwood delivering an industry presentation to Perth’s leading sleep clinicians on the development of the new teaching and research Sleep Science facility.

The School of Anatomy and Human Biology also invited alumni to revisit the school for a tour of the building and an evening cocktail party in the memorial gardens.

Future alumni events include:

  • 50 th Anniversary, School of Physics, 12 March 2010, 6-8pm
  • Sport Science, Exercise and Health alumni event – date TBC.
  • Perth International Arts Festival Film and cocktail party. Tickets cost $20 each.

    Soul Kitchen 31 March, 6pm
