Following consideration by the Faculty Representative Panel of a second round of draft proposals from the Formal Governance, Disciplines and Research Themes working parties, the working parties are now in the process of considering the feedback and making necessary revisions to their proposals. Once this is complete, the proposals will be circulated to the Faculty for further consideration and feedback.

The Faculty Representative Panel, whose membership is available on the One Faculty, One Future website , was charged with the responsibility of providing initial feedback and consideration to the detailed proposals of the Formal Governance, Disciplines and Research Themes working parties. This was to ensure that a well developed proposal was provided to the Faculty for its consideration and feedback. This occurred over two meetings, one on the 30 October and the second on the 27 November, with the feedback incorporated and reflected in the following version of the proposals.

As this process is now complete, the next revisions of proposals from these working parties will be circulated to the Faculty as a whole by no later than mid-December 2009. This is designed to provide the Faculty as a whole the opportunity for feedback and comment on the proposals. Further details on how feedback can be provided will be made available in the near future.

Opportunity for consideration, comment and feedback on the proposals will be open until at least mid-February 2010 to ensure that all staff have the opportunity to contribute to this important process. Once this feedback has closed, the working parties will consider their proposals in light of the feedback and make any necessary revisions.

Once all of the feedback has been considered and appropriate changes made, the working parties will present their reports to the Dean of the Faculty. The Dean will then be responsible for bringing these proposals to a meeting of the Full Faculty at which they will be considered, and hopefully approved for implementation.

As the changes being considered by the Formal Governance, Disciplines and Research Themes working parties involve changes to Faculty's formal governance and structures, any changes can only be implemented following formal approval by the Full Faculty.
