The Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA) WA Branch invites applications for vacation scholarships for research projects in the area of human genetics for a period of between six and eight weeks during the 2009/10 summer vacation.

The purpose of the scholarship is to enable an undergraduate student to carry out research in any area of human genetics over the summer vacation, under the supervision of a member of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia and approved by the selection committee.

This scholarship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in, and insights into, an area of human genetics that interests you. The winner of this scholarship will present the outcomes of their work at a HGSA-WA seminar in 2010.

Scholarship value
A $2,500 Vacation Scholarship is available for one student, to undertake work with a supervisor of their choice in the field of genetics.

Eligibility
Any undergraduate or graduate student whose supervisor is a financial member of the HGSA is eligible to apply.
