What makes a successful NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council) Project Grant Application? How does a GRP (Grant Review Panel) arrive at your score?
Everyone who wants to hear the answers to those questions is invited to a NHMRC Project Grant workshop.

To make the Project Grant process more transparent, especially for early career researchers, we are holding an interactive forum focusing on NHMRC project grants. Our panel consists of researchers with a wealth of experience as both grant assessors and members/Chairs of GRPs: Professor Hugh Barrett, Professor Peter Eastwood, Professor Kevin Croft, and Winthrop Professor Brendan Waddell .

Walking through the application process, we shall explore all aspects of the application, including the synopsis, dissecting the content of your 9 pages of Background and Research Plan, and tips for what to include in your Track Record. Then exactly what does happen to your application at the GRP meeting - who is your advocate? New Investigator grant, or Project grant?

Come prepared with all your questions!

Let's start thinking Project grants March 2010!
