UWay is a scheme which allows TEE students whose academic achievements have been adversely affected by certain disadvantages, including regional isolation, to apply for special entry to an undergraduate degree course at UWA.

UWay applies a notional adjustment to the student's Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) according to the disadvantage they have experienced. This does not change their actual TER - the adjustment is only for the purpose of their UWay application. If their actual TER falls below the cut-off for their desired course, it is possible that their notional TER will gain them a place.

The closing date for UWay applications is the end of September (TISC applications closing date). Late applications will not be accepted unless exceptional circumstances apply so please encourage your students to submit an application if they are eligible for this scheme.
