UWA has a diverse range of awards and scholarships on offer for students commencing study in 2010. These scholarships are not just applicable to top academic students, they also recognise achievement across a wide range of areas including involvement in extra-curricular activities such as sport and music, as well as volunteer or charity work completed within the community.

The University is also committed to equity and access for all students. There are a range of awards and scholarships available to students from non-English speaking and/or low socio-economic backgrounds, Indigenous students, students with a disability, mature-age students, rural students, students who arrived in Australia on a humanitarian visa, and females studying in a non-traditional discipline. Awards and scholarships are also available for commencing students within individual faculties, for students in residential accommodation and students who are excelling in sport.

Information about these scholarships and how to apply for them was posted to your school in mid-August. Closing dates for applications vary depending on the award or scholarship, so be sure to check the UWA Scholarships website for more information.
