Developed by team members from three different organisations, INFFER is the winner of this year's Australian Research Council Eureka Prize for Excellence in Research by an Interdisciplinary Team .

INFFER, the Investment Framework For Environmental Resources, comprises Professor David Pannell and Sally Marsh from UWA's Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy; Dr Anna Roberts and Jennifer Alexander, Department of Primary Industries, Victoria; and Geoff Park, North Central Catchment Management Authority, Victoria

The Australian Museum Eureka Prizes are the most prestigious awards in Australian science. The winners were announced on August 18 in Sydney, at a star-studded formal dinner that was attended by the country's most inspiring minds.

INFFER is a tool to help managers of natural assets to prioritise their projects. It aims to help managers to achieve the the most valuable outcomes with the available resources. It is useful for developing and assessing projects to address issues such as water quality, salinity, biodiversity decline, environmental pests and land degradation.
