The Group of Eight (of which UWA is a member) offers eight annual fellowships to early career researchers in Europe to work in one of the Go8 universities for up to six months. The Fellowships are open to eligible researchers from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and, for the first time this year, Croatia.

Each fellowship is worth AUD $20,000 and apply for travel to Australia for up to six months.

Submission:

Fellowship applications to UWA must be supported by a UWA academic supervisor and submitted to the UWA Research Grants Office by the 30th October 2009. The applications should include:

• 3 paper copies of the completed and signed application form ;
• 1 completed and signed Application Cover Sheet ‘Gold Form' ;
• 1 electronic version sent to Leanne Hall (either .rtf or .pdf version).

The filename of the application should conform to the following naming convention: [Surname] [EURO].pdf eg SmithEURO.pdf
