UWA Publishing is delighted to have three writers with 'first' books in the Brisbane Writers' Festival in September.

Padma Viswanathan (The Toss of a Lemon) will be travelling from the USA to be part of the festival; Emily Ballou (The Darwin Poems) will be travelling from her home in Scotland; and Amanda Curtin (The Sinkings) all the way from Perth!

Emily Ballou and Brian Dibble (Doing Life: A Biography of Elizabeth Jolley) will also be appearing at the Melbourne Writers' Festival in late August. Dibble will present the annual Elizabeth Jolley Memorial Lecture at the Festival. More details on the MWF and BWF websites.
