Despite the West Coast Eagles' disappointing 41 point loss to TheBlues more than 100 University of Western Australia graduates rated thealumni event at Docklands Stadium a huge success.

UWA Vice Chancellor Professor Alan Robson joined the block ofsupporters on foreign ground to renew connections between quarters.

The Sydney Alumni Cocktail party also drew a strong crowd to the Women's College, University of Sydney.

The guest speaker was Rob Campbell, UWA graduate and ExecutiveDirector of Screentime Pty Ltd which produced the Underbelly series.

Mr Campbell entertained alumni members recounting a taste of campuslife in 1968 and talked about the bias he has for hiring UWA graduatesas well as the invaluable network he has maintained from his days atthe Crawley campus.

"In short, I think the best way one can give something back to thisgreat place is money certainly, but also a little well intended andwell placed bias towards the alumni, particularly the recent graduatesand via occasions such as this to ensure the maintenance of a currentand lively network both professionally and personally," Mr Campbellsaid.
