The FECM Strategic Review 2009 has now reached the stage where the Review Co-Chairs are developing a consolidated report of the outcomes of the review, formulated from the recommendations, options and issues identified in the papers produced by each Strategic Review area. This consolidated report will be presented to the Faculty on Thursday 30th July 2009 at 3.00pm in the Murdoch Lecture Theatre.

Staff are encouraged to continue participating and contributing to the Strategic Review, and to continue checking the Strategic Review website for review updates and details of any upcoming Faculty events.

Summary of Review Progress

• The Physical, Information, Communication and Computing Infrastructure Co-Chairs, David Sampson and Mark Reynolds, recently released their combined Issues and Options paper. The paper has been formulated based on wide consultation with the Faculty through focus groups, an open workshop, and collected data. All members of the Faculty are encouraged to read the paper, available on the Strategic Review website.

• The Industry and Community Partnerships, Foundations and Alumni Co-Chairs, Mark Cassidy and Tim Shanahan, have released their Options paper as part of the Strategic Review. The paper is available on the Strategic Review website and all Faculty members are encouraged to read it.

• The Strategic Review Co-Chairs attended an all-day discussion panel on Monday 6th July. The full day discussion gave the Co-Chairs an opportunity to bring together each of the review area recommendations and options into a consolidated report. This outcomes report will be presented to the Faculty on Thursday 30th July at 3.00pm in the Murdoch Lecture Theatre, details of which are available in Upcoming Events below.

Upcoming Events

• The ECM Summit Steering Committee will hold their Third meeting next Wednesday 15th July. The Agenda for this meeting will become available on the Strategic Review website, where you will also find the Agendas and Minutes from previous ECM Summit meetings.

• Outcomes Presentation
  The consolidated outcomes of the FECM Strategic Review 2009 will be presented to the Faculty on Thursday 30th July at 3.00pm in the Murdoch Lecture Theatre. The presentation is an opportunity for Faculty staff to see the consolidated strategies, principles, and governance and management framework resulting from the recommendations, options and issues produced by each area of the review. All Faculty members are invited to attend the presentation where they will also have an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions.
