The Industry and Community Partnerships, Foundation and Alumni Co-Chairs, Mark Cassidy and Tim Shanahan, are pleased to release their Options Paper as part of the Strategic Review 2009. The paper is available on the Strategic Review website and all members of the Faculty are encouraged to read it.

The Options paper has been formulated on the basis of the issues identified in the Industry and Community Issues paper , as well as submissions from the Faculty and Industry and a range of data.


This paper provides a strategic direction and recommendations for the Faculty in the area of community and industry partnerships, knowledge transfer, foundations and alumni, designed to lift the Faculty into a top 50 faculty in the world by 2050, and one of the top three faculties of engineering, computing and mathematics in Australia.

Members of the Faculty are encouraged to make submissions on the Options paper. Submissions should be sent to the Manager, Special Projects via [email protected] for distribution to the Co-Chairs. Staff seeking to make submissions are encouraged to do so as soon as possible, to enable the Co-Chairs the maximum opportunity to consider the submission.
