The University of Western Australia's Engineering in Medicine and Biology Student Club (UWA EMBS) would like to invite all FECM staff to send potential biomedical related final year and PhD project descriptions for listing on the UWA EMBS website .

This is an excellent opportunity for staff to attract students to any biomedical projects they may have. All project descriptions should be sent to Stephen McAnearney and should include name of the laboratory or group running the project and the name of the supervisor.

The idea is to collate all the biomedical engineering related final year and phd projects from around the faculty in one central location - UWA EMBS website for easy access to interested students.

The UWA EMBS was formed earlier this year with a passionate team , to promote and engage students in all aspects of biomedical engineering around Western Australia and it has already been awarded the 2009 Worldwide Best New Student Club or Chapter from the global Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) EMBS .

The UWA EMBS is a student organisation created from the global Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society . This is one of forty societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The IEEE is the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology.

The UWA EMBS works within two interrelated areas, Academic and Industry and it aims to help the student interested in biomedical engineering, reach their potential while studying at UWA, and then make a difference in the broader community.
