Technical and General Staff are invited to submit conference papers, posters and innovation displays addressing the conference theme of "Sustain: People Places Resources".


The 10th TechNet Conference in 2009 involves a joint collaboration of all Western Australian Universities: Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University, Notre Dame University and The University of Western Australia.
The conference will be held in the University Club, UWA on 25-27 November 2009.

A broad theme has been deliberately chosen by the organising committee in order to encourage participation from a wide range of technical staff involved in diverse range of activities. Presentations may encompass activities in teaching, research, management and infrastructure support across a wide range of disciplines including, but not limited to science, health, medicinal, engineering, creative arts and occupational health and safety.

Three parallel conference streams will be established according to papers submitted.
Presentations can be completed individually or as a collaborative effort and may be delivered in any of the following formats:

  • Oral presentation 25 minutes + 5 minutes question time
  • Poster Presentation or Innovation Display (a prize will be awarded for the best poster/display)
  • Workshops

All abstracts must be original work. All presenters will be required to register for the TechNet National Conference 2009 before presentations are accepted for inclusion in the conference program.

Full papers will not be a requirement, but presenters may submit full papers if they wish.  All submitted full papers will be made available to conference delegates.

Deadlines:
Expressions of interest in presenting open: 8th June 2009
Expressions of interest close: 25th September 2009
Abstract Due: 25th September 2009
Full papers due (note this is not mandatory): 30th October 2009
Final poster image due (poster presentations): 30th October 2009
