The UWA Research Collaboration Awards (URCA) provide funding to support new and developing initiatives that will expand the University's external research collaborations both nationally and internationally.

Winners from the Faculty (announced 9 June):

URCA Winners
Associate Professor Jishan Liu (Mechanical Engineering): "Maximize research impact through a focused research on CO2-enhanced coalbed methane recovery". Collaboration with Penn State University; $8,000

Professor Karol Miller (Mechanical Engineering): "Computational biomechanics for image-guided neurosurgery". Collaboration with Harvard University; $10,000

Merit Award
Dr David Huang (Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering): "A Cognitive multi-hop approach for high-speed underwater acoustic communications." Collaboration with University of Sydney; $2,000
