Congratulations to our second-year law student Krista McMeeken, who was recognised for her leadership and commitment to Indigenous Youth when she was awarded the inaugural Wesfarmers Indigenous Youth Scholarship at the Citizen of the Year awards on 31 May 2009
Krista said studying Law at UWA had helped her in achieving the award.

"I'm finding my legal studies at UWA to be extremely varied and interesting and also challenging. I enjoy engaging in the law and my studies and interacting with fellow students and staff," she said.

"I find that UWA provides a productive and relaxing environment which supports not only my academic achievement but also my social development. My favourite part of studying law at UWA is being able to apply what I have learnt in the classroom practically to current events and real life situations."
