Successful applications for a range of Internal and External competitive grant schemes are available through Debbie Thackray (Faculty Research Development Officer) and the Research Development Office team. These can be extremely useful in guiding researchers in developing their own applications.

Several examples of successful applications for the previous round of UWA Research Development Awards (RDAs) are available, as is feedback on developing applications, from Debbie . Many thanks to the supportive researchers who have provided these examples.

As a reminder: The UWA Research Development Award scheme is designed to provide an opportunity for early career researchers to develop skills required for submitting grant applications and research plans.  These skills would be built upon for future research projects and to build track records for external grant competitiveness.

Grants are awarded for one year only.  A maximum of $30,000 can be awarded, and up to an additional $14,500 for teaching relief.

Closing date : Friday, 12 June 2009.

Applications and guidelines are available on the website
