The 91st Annual Engineering, Computing and Mathematics Ball was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC). Over three hundred students and staff attended the evening, as well as ten representatives from the event sponsor Leighton Contractors.

The night was a huge success beginning with cocktails on entry in the foyer overlooking the Swan River. A three-piece band, called Three To One, played an acoustic set which resulted in many people sitting around their tables having a sing-a-long while they waited for their entrée.

Dinner consisted of a three course meal of the PCEC's finest cuisine, thanks to the Gold Plate Awards being judged that night. Following dinner the band started playing again and everyone got up to dance the night away.

The theme for the night was masquerade which resulted in everything from ski goggles, to Hawaiian bandanas, to elaborate, feathery masks.

"It was a really great evening...The food was really delicious and the band played tunes that we could all dance to!! Our students did themselves proud and all looked fantastic and indeed it was a really fun night. But of course most importantly, I am glad hear that the general consensus from the students' point of view was that it was a successful event. Well done UEC!", said Rob Blandford, Manager, Student Affairs.

Overall everyone seemed to have a great night and al the participants are looking forward to the 92nd Annual Engineering, Computing and Mathematics Ball.
