First round of nominations for the 2009 Faculty Teaching and Learning Awards will open on 1st May and close on 31st May.

The guidelines and Online Nomination Forms can be accessed via the website .

As well as nominations from students, we would like to see staff and schools nominating their own outstanding teachers and projects. Please consider peer nomination or self-nomination, especially in the following categories:

• Individual Teaching Early Career,
• Project, that Enhances Learning and
• Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

Following on from the Faculty Teaching and Learning Awards held on Tuesday 10th March 2009, the judging panel has recommended few adjustments to the guidelines, selection criteria and submission requirements. From 2009 the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics will decree three of the following five awards for Teaching Excellence:

• Individual Teaching,
• Individual Teaching (Early Career)
• Team Teaching
• Honours Supervision
• Postgraduate Research Supervision

In addition each year the following awards will be granted:

• Project that Enhances Learning
• Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning
