I am delighted to join the ‘winning team’ of the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics as Dean (there are so many success stories in this edition of The Engineering Essential).

I would like to particularly thank Associate Professor Carolyn Oldham for the huge effort she has put into running the Faculty over the last eight months, and for doing a wonderful job. I would also like to thank the former Dean, Professor Mark Bush, for the excellent work done over many years, and for creating key strategic partnerships with our industry partners that will stand us in good stead for many years to come – thank you Mark.

I look forward to working with everyone – staff, students, alumni and industry partners to build on these solid foundations over the course of the next five years
