Christina Rogerson graduated from the University of Western Australia with an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2006. Towards the end of her degree she took up a few elective units in languages, which led her to completing a second degree at UWA with a double major in Chinese and German languages.

Mandarin is now her main focus and in September she will be travelling to China to the prestigious Zhejiang University for a year of intensive Chinese language study. Rogerson's ambition is to use her combined training in Mandarin and Engineering to serve in the Royal Australian Navy in a posting in China.

She presently serves in the Naval Reserve, and on 3rd May 2008 was appointed by the Hon. Shane L. Stone QC to the position of Youth Representative of the Defence Reserves Support Council. She believes that it is the high standards of teaching at UWA that have led her to strive for success in her professional life.
