Former Justice of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, Richard Goldstone, will deliver this year's Toohey Oration, "The Prospects for International Criminal Justice".

Justice Goldstone chairs the advisory board of the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation. He served as the Chief Prosecutor of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. He was Chairperson of the Commission of Inquiry regarding Public Violence and Intimidation during South Africa's transition to democracy and more recently was Co-Chairperson of the Independent International Committee to investigate the Iraq Oil for Food program.

The Toohey Oration honours the career and contribution to public life of UWA graduate, Dr John Toohey, who became one of the country's eminent jurists.
