The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alan Robson, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, Professor David Smith, launched the ECM Strategic Review 2009. Founded on a commitment to open communication and consultation, the review will set a vision for the future of the Faculty.

"The review offers an opportunity for all staff to be involved in setting the future direction of the Faculty and I strongly encourage all staff to particpate" said Professor Alan Robson.

Close to 200 people attended the Review launch, where the Dean gave an inspiring presentation about the aims and the structure of the review. He introduced some of the Co-Chairs responsible for various areas of the Review and announced that there would be a number of forums and sessions available to staff to enable them to participate and provide feedback.

A Strategic Review website has been set up to detail information about the progress of the review and provide documentation for staff.

A number of staff asked questions during the session and those who were unable to attend are invited to communicate any feedback or questions .
