The Honourable Justice Robert French, the new Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, graduated from The University of Western Australia with a BSc in 1969 and a law degree in 1971.
Robert founded the West Australian Aboriginal Legal Service, was the first president of the National Native Title Tribunal, and was 1998 West Australian of the Year.
