Balmy summer nights and a line up of seven events across music, theatre and film proved to be an excellent mix for enthusiastic attendees of the UWA Alumni Events at the 2008 UWA Perth International Arts Festival.

Reserve seating was arranged and preperformance drinks and canapés were served
at the University Club exclusively for alumni of the University. Guests not only enjoyed each event but also the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.

Musician Rufus Wainright, whose performance was a sell out, captured the audience with a combination of cabaret, jazz, pop and opera. Other highlights included the smash-hit Scottish theatre production Black Watch and the hilarious, laugh-out-loud Irish comedy TRAD.

We plan to organise another alumni performance program in 2009.
